Our client in Essex is currently recruiting for a HMO Officer to join a high-performing team on a 3 month contract, with the potential of renewable, Full Time or Part Time, Hybrid role . This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced housing professional to take on a varied caseload within private sector housing.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate tenant complaints and carry out property inspections
- Assess housing conditions using HHSRS and Decent Homes Standard
- Prepare and serve enforcement notices
- Manage disrepair cases and schedules of condition
- Support HMO licensing, inspections and compliance activity
- Identify empty properties and support return to use
- Work with partner agencies on housing improvement initiatives
About You
- Strong knowledge of HHSRS and housing enforcement
- Experience in private sector housing or disrepair
- Understanding of housing standards and regulation
- Ability to manage an autonomous caseload
