Environmental Health Officer / Higher Certificate Technical Officer

Our Local Authority client in the North-West of England is seeking an Environmental Health Officer / Higher Certificate Technical Officer to undertake approximately 20 Food Premises inspections per month (Category D risk premises) in line with the FSA Food Law Code of Practice, with full delivery required by April 2026.

To be considered, candidates must hold one of the recognised baseline qualifications and hold the relevant professional registration.

Acceptable qualifications include the Higher Certificate in Food Control, Certificate of Registration, or a Diploma issued by the Environmental Health Registration Board.

The inspecting officer must also be able to demonstrate competence in Inspection of Food Establishments (Cluster 4) and hold a minimum of 20 hours of Food Core CPD, as set out in the current Food Law Code of Practice and Practice Guidance.

Please note that copies of all relevant qualifications, CPD certificates, and registration with EHORB/EHRB (or equivalent) must be held on file by Buckingham Futures prior to commencement of the contract. This assignment will be paid on a per-inspection basis.
