Buckingham Futures is assisting a local authority seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their housing operations team on a large construction project. The role covers all project stages: pre-contract, construction, and close-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare early cost estimates and project cost plans.
- Support design development with updated cost plans.
- Identify and assess project risks.
- Assist in procurement strategy and tender documentation.
- Attend stakeholder meetings.
- Participate in pre-start meetings and due diligence.
- Monitor risks, issues, and financial performance monthly.
- Provide detailed financial reports and cost data.
- Manage final account settlements and defect periods.
- Ensure full documentation is collected (O&M manuals, warranties, compliance certificates, etc.).
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Chartered (RICS) preferred.
- Proven experience as Quantity Surveyor, Contract Administrator, or Employer’s Agent.
- Strong knowledge of JCT Contracts.
