Buckingham Futures is partnered with a Local Authority based in Essex hiring for multiple Building Control roles, from Inspectors to Team Leaders/Principal Inspectors, offering opportunities to handle a range of cases, develop your skills, and contribute to a modern, responsive service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or support high-risk, complex Building Control cases, depending on experience.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to colleagues.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and internal teams to ensure safety, quality, and innovation.
• Contribute to a high-performing, accountable team culture.

Who We’re Looking For

• Qualified RBI (Class 2D+) with relevant Building Control experience.
• Sound technical judgement and confidence to guide others (for senior roles).
• Supportive, mentoring approach to leadership (for management roles).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Calm, solutions-focused mindset.
