Buckingham Futures are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority in North London for an experienced Food Environmental Health Practitioner to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine and complex food hygiene and safety inspections independently
- Investigate complaints, infectious disease outbreaks, and workplace incidents
- Serve statutory notices; prepare inspection reports, witness statements, prosecution files, and legal briefings
- Attend court and conduct PACE interviews when required
- Advise senior management on high-risk cases with potential legal or financial implications
- Keep your knowledge razor-sharp through CPD and the latest Food Law Code of Practice
- Deliver food hygiene training and support health education initiatives across the borough
Requirements:
- Degree, Diploma, or MSc in Environmental Health
- Registration with EHORB/EHRB (or equivalent)
- Certificate of Professional Competence
- At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in food safety and health & safety enforcement
- Proficiency in Cluster 4: Inspection of Food Establishments
- 10+ hours of Food Core CPD in line with the current Food Law Code of Practice
- Recent hands-on experience in inspections, enforcement, and legal documentation
